What to Paste (and What Not To)

What works

• Airbnb earnings CSV from Earnings → Paid → Get report → Create report (not the PDF).
• VRBO payout CSV — the payout summary, one row per booking, with gross, deductions, and payout.
• Hospitable reservations export — the legacy email CSV from Metrics → Legacy exports → Reservations & Financials. This is a file upload, not a live connection.
• Filled TallyRoost template — a header row and at least one stay. Download it on Import, fill it, and upload it back.
• A paste of that same file: header row first, then every data row.

When Import turns a file away

An empty file (nothing in it, or a header with no stays) shows this message:

This file is empty. Upload an Airbnb earnings CSV, a VRBO payout CSV, a Hospitable reservations export, or a filled TallyRoost template with a header row and at least one stay.

A junk or wrong export shows this message:

This is not a supported export. Upload an Airbnb earnings CSV, a VRBO payout CSV, a Hospitable reservations export, or a filled TallyRoost template.

Files that get the unsupported message include:

• Hospitable property summary screens — one row per property with booking counts, nights, or an address. That is not a list of stays.
• Random text — a note, an email, or a paragraph you typed.
• A partial table with no header row — numbers only, or a few rows copied from the middle.
• A screenshot copied as text — Import cannot read a picture, and text lifted from one usually drops the column names.

Import stops on those files. Download one of the supported files and try again. Do not rebuild the table by hand.

Keep the header row

The first row must be the column names (dates, confirmation or reservation id, amounts). A filled TallyRoost template needs that header and at least one stay. Copy the header and all of the rows, or upload the file itself.
